PositiveID+ provides a powerful system for “one to one” and “one to many” biometric matching using a MINEX certified matching algorithm. This algorithm is one of only twelve worldwide to receive full MINEX certification for both fingerprint template matching and encoding. The PositiveID+ system architecture is designed to be scalable for agencies looking for increased performance as their matching database grows. Supporting multi-node cluster servers, PositiveID+ can distribute the processing over several matching engines to achieve your agency’s desired performance.

Since PositiveID+ supports major biometric standards it can automatically enroll NIST files from Livescan machines directly into its matching database. This avoids any additional steps for officers during the booking process and provides a reliable method for growing your local PositiveID+ database. Additionally, any older NIST EFT files that still reside on your LiveScan machine can be imported directly into the matching database which can often contain years of valuable arrest history. For agencies without LiveScan machines, PositiveID+ also supports importing scanned fingerprint cards, digital fingerprint image files and single digit enrollment with a FS80 fingerprint scanner.

PositiveID+ mobile version extends the functionality and matching capabilities of the system to any location where cellular or Wi-Fi communications are available. Officers can run fingerprint searches directly from their patrol car laptops and Motorola MC70 handhelds as well as facial recognition searches with their Blackberry, Android and iPhone devices. For officers on patrol, using PositiveID+ for preliminary identification in the field can be a valuable asset to increase officer safety and avoid unnecessary trips back to headquarters. In the jail environment, correction officers can accurately identify inmates in their cell blocks and release areas minimizing the risks of mistaken releases/identities.

PositiveID+ turns a camera enabled cell phone into a powerful facial recognition tool. Officers can use their phone to capture a subjects image and submit it to the PositiveID+ matching server. Within moments, match results are available for retrieval and review directly on officers cell phones. The results page displays valuable information that includes a list of image matches and corresponding demographics and/or arrest data to help with identification. Additionally officers without cell phones can still benefit from mobile facial recognition by uploading images from standard digital cameras plugged into patrol car laptops or wireless netbooks.
